"To visually share the purity of heartfelt emotions is my conviction and my purpose. It’s not about documenting what I see, but translating what I feel. It absolutely matters where I am, who I’m with and what I’m doing. I go to the far ends of the Earth, because that’s how and when my art is born.

I put myself in the middle of extremes and then I try to disappear, to not affect anything, but to see, feel and preserve everything.

I have spent over 20 years wandering the globe, discovering new perspectives, growing, evolving, living in the now and immersing myself in our world’s textures. Every new adventure led to the next, a serendipitous path with a mind of its own, drawing a course that seemed perpetual; I saw no reason to veer away; it worked; it fulfilled me… So I thought.

Then everything changed and I changed.

My journey to the South Pole has changed everything for me. For the first time in my life I could no longer be just an observer, a translator. To survive, I had to face my fears and then overcome them. I became my own self. Everything in my world is different now… Everything."
